Portraits
We know how quickly days turn into weeks and weeks into years. Preserve your memories now so you and your loved ones can enjoy them for years to come. The incredible backdrops of Lake Tahoe inspire us to take amazing photos. My team and I specialize in outdoor portraits.
We accommodate families, large or small, couples, friends, and pets. We photograph everything from annual school pictures, high school senior portraits, headshots, holiday parties, religious ceremonies, business functions, and family reunions with candid pictures and posed formal portraits. All photo shoots include a six-month online gallery.
Any season in Lake Tahoe offers the perfect setting for your outdoor portrait. A family portrait at the beach makes a great holiday postcard. Annual school photos not up to your expectations? High school senior portrait coming up? Allow our friendly, fun, patient, and experienced photographers make that yearly portrait especially unique.
We take pride in our work, and this is reflected in your Lake Tahoe portrait photography. My team and I cater to your individuality and are dedicated to making your experience pleasurable. When it comes to preserving those special occasions with your family, friends, and associates, insist on the best and call Above and Beyond Photography.

Locations: We offer several amazing sites in the Lake Tahoe basin that we absolutely love. Have your own location? We will happily travel to you.
Timing: One of the keys to taking quality photos is to choose a time of day when the sun is low in the sky. Lighting from the side is more pleasing and offers a better look at our subjects. When the sun is high it creates harsh shadows. Mornings or evenings are best depending on the location around the lake.
Tips: With clothing, avoid noisy patterns and excessively bright colors. We prefer your faces to be the main attraction when viewing a portrait not your clothes.
Suggestions: Many families will mix and match their outfits such as denim jeans and white shirts or khaki pants with navy blue tops. Also, you can have mom and son match their shirt colors and dad and daughter match theirs. When it comes to family reunions it’s fun to have each individual family match so you can spot them easily in a large group picture. As a general rule we enjoy color schemes that flow harmoniously throughout your family’s attire.
